Spearheaded by the Mobile Giving Foundation (MGF), a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping other non-profits raise funds through mobile, MMA member companies are working with cause-related organisations such as the Yéle Foundation, the main contributor to rebuilding Haiti founded by Wyclef Jean; Clinton Foundation; Red Cross; and others to speed relief to those affected by the recent earthquake.
“Response from the public for mobile-giving campaigns related to Haiti Earthquake Relief has been tremendous, and awareness of the various campaigns continues to grow via social media sites, such as Facebook and Twitter,” said Federico Pisani Massamormile, MMA interim CEO.
“Our members are to be commended for their rapid response; however, there is still much work to be done, and MMA leadership encourages both our members and the public to continue their support.”
