Motorola XOOM Available Globally Through DeviceAnywhere

DeviceAnywhere, provider of end-to-end mobile application testing, has announced the global availability of the Motorola XOOM tablet for private cloud environments and its shared-access service, Test Center.

Availability of the XOOM means that enterprises can now conduct the QA and monitoring necessary to standardize on the platform before wide-scale rollouts.

The XOOM is Motorola's first tablet device and the first device to feature the Android 3.0 Honeycomb Operating System, which is specifically tailored to tablet devices. It features a 10.1 inch HD display and is powered by a dual-core 1Ghz processor. Users of the device are also entitled to a free upgrade to Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE network when it goes live later this year. Its impressive credentials ensured that it was named winner of the best tablet at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show as well as the CNET Best of Show award for being "the most potentially disruptive technology”.

Businesses can now conduct test automation on the Motorola XOOM, allowing a much faster rollout of enterprise applications. The device is also accessible for manual testing on the tablets package on Test Center, joining a growing list of the most popular tablets available on the market.

“Increasingly, tablet rollouts are reaching the top of the priority list for many businesses we deal with,” commented Faraz Syed, CEO and co-founder, DeviceAnywhere. “Already this year, there is overwhelming evidence that enterprises have embraced the tablet form and are building strategic plans around them. The Motorola XOOM is an impressive tablet which we expect will have strong appeal in the enterprise space."
