The Taiwanese company has confirmed that the phone will be launching in mid-March for Europe, with a slight delay for the US.
The HTC One M9 features a 5-inch 1080p display, set inside a body with 144.6 x 69.7 x 9.61mm dimensions, making it a little shorter than the One M8 but also a little fatter. The extra room also allows for a slightly bigger battery which hopefully will enable the M9 to go a more than a full day with heavy use.
HTC One M9 will be packing 3GB of RAM and an octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor, with four cores running at 2.0GHz and four at 1.5GHz, allowing it to switch between them depending on what it's doing. This technology approach should conserve battery considerably as low level tasks will use the slower cores.
Mike Fairman, giffgaff CEO comments "When we started to sell phones in late 2013, we promised to keep increasing our range to bring our members the latest phones for the best value. The launch of this latest HTC will be yet another fantastic addition to our ever-growing range of phones. Without being tied in to a contract, our members can enjoy all the features the highly sought-after HTC One M9 has to offer.”
