The appointments brings in an increased focus on extending Gradwell’s channel partner community to increase market share of the growing and evolving SME cloud communications space, driving up business growth according to the comms provider.
Curry has a wealth of SME marketplace expertise gained from his leadership roles at Powwownow, Arkarius Holdings and Plusnet. He said: “With the new management team in place and the strong backing of our Private Equity partners, we are now in a position to grow the business by extending Gradwell’s channel community to include partners who are looking for tried and tested, flexible, robust cloud communications solutions to meet the needs of SME customers."
Ward joins from Gamma where he was head of SME sales, Ward understands the demands and challenges of serving the SME marketplace extremely well.
Ward added: “Our recent appointment as the first solutions provider to 3CX, the leading IP PBX provider, highlights our commitment to provide our channel partners with out-of-the-box, end-to-end cloud communications solutions from a single supplier, designed for the SME marketplace.”
Gradwell has also committed to continuing to provide cloud business communications solutions to the SOHO/micro-business marketplace whilst ensuring its solutions portfolio meets the needs of SME customers at the same time.
“Our cloud communications solutions have helped our SOHO/micro business clients to grow into successful larger organisations. They are today’s SMEs. And they want to keep working with us to ensure that their communications solutions evolve to meet their growing needs,” said Ward.
Working with organisations like 3CX gives Gradwell the opportunity to offer its channel partners out-of-the box, end-to-end cloud communications for SMEs which eliminate the complexity around deploying a cloud telephony solution.
“This is good news for the channel. Gradwell’s solutions require minimal resources to implement helping our channel partners drive new business and increase revenue,” said Ward.
“I was looking to join a business that had the potential to grow. Gradwell fitted the bill. The company was born in the cloud, and has developed its own intellectual property (IP) based around an Open Source platform, with no legacy issues around hardware PBXs or ISDN and is in a great position to take its business forward.
“With more of an emphasis on providing cloud communications solutions, the expansion of its channel partners to effectively serve the SME market, I know I joined Gradwell at just the right time,” Ward continued.
“This is a very exciting time for Gradwell. By continuing to look after our existing customers, at the same time as helping the company to focus on what we see as it’s sweet spot, SMEs, and by taking full advantage of Jamie’s considerable sales and marketing skills, I am confident that Gradwell will quickly establish itself as the ‘go to’ partner for the channel serving SMEs,” added Curry.
