The upgraded mobile app called RIPDialer is a vanilla product enabling distributors and re-sellers to replace RIPTec’s brand with their own and offer customers an array of new mobile services such as a local landline on their mobile, money transfers and the ability to redeem shopping vouchers.
Since launching the original version of RIPDialer in late 2015, feedback from telecom and many non-telecom distributors and re-sellers was for an enhanced app that not only allows small businesses to use it as a fully blown mobile office system, but one that would appeal to “man with a van” traders.
Market research shows that local traders with local landline contact numbers receive more customer enquiries than if they use only a mobile number as their first point of contact. Not only do local calls cost less to a trader’s customers, but the perception is that they are more trustworthy, is local to them, and that the trader’s business is established. RIPDialer enables traders to add local landlines to their system and to make and receive landline calls from their mobile.
“Based on feedback on version 1, we set out to make RIPDialer an even better business tool so that distributors and re-sellers could offer small businesses and traders all the features of an office PBX including voicemail, auto attendant, call transfer, call forwarding and call recording and added services such as account top-up, package plan, phone number, voucher redemption and credit transfer,” says Mark Trowbridge, RIPTec’s CEO. “No other product on today’s market offers such services.”
With the upgraded RIPDialer, re-sellers can change base pricing for call minutes and other services at any time and customers top up using the distributor's preferred payment method or pre-paid vouchers. All transactions are logged in a secure customer transaction file with dates and amounts viewable to re-sellers at any time.
End users select any available local landline number once their account has been debited and they have supplied any necessary regulatory documentation. The number will automatically be added to their account, set up in their mobile, and then set up in the PBX to point to their mobile phone.
Users will be automatically billed each month and distributors and their channel partners can see a list of all transactions to determine commissions due.
RIPTec is looking to appoint further distributors and re-sellers with telecom and non-telecom expertise to upsell vanilla versions of RIPDialer 2 to their customers.
