An auction was also held after the shoot where the majority of the cash was raised, thanks to generous donations by participants. RW Communications gave away a brand new laptop computer as an item to be auctioned. Other auction lots included a quad bike adventure day for ten, a hot air balloon ride, a copy of the England-Australia Ashes programme signed by Kevin Pieterson and a signed Chelsea football shirt. All of the companies involved also donated money to enter into the event.
“We really enjoy these kind of days,” said Russell Whitlock, MD of RW Communications. “As a company we’ve enjoyed great success this year, growing substantially both in size and turnover. We are happy to be able to share our success by contributing to worthwhile charities such as Sparks. This shooting day has also given us an opportunity to network and socialise. Our thanks extend to Stratstone for putting on a great event, and to all the companies who took part with us.”
Around 100 people took part in the event. The funds raised on the day will go towards pioneering research that has a practical, positive impact on the lives of babies and children.
