Sona Business becomes Comms Council UK member

Move will help company establish strong UK presence.

Sona Business has become a member of Comms Council UK.

Sona Business co-founder, Sonia Harjani, said, “Becoming a member of Comms Council UK is a strong statement of intent and reinforces our commitment to become a leading player, as part of the country’s network connectivity and telecoms community.

“Equally the organisation has a strong female ethos and focus which aligns perfectly with our own management philosophies and vision. The council empowers, supports and inspires women in telecoms. I’ve been working in the industry for the last 15 years and very much look forward to contributing and getting involved.”

Sona Business co-founder, Walter Perris, said, “Sona is on a mission to shake-up the market and forge a strong UK presence based on high calibre connectivity and speed of service through a personal touch. Our official UK launch takes place at the Royal Armouries in Leeds on January 28, which makes joining Comms Council UK perfect timing.”

Sona Business head of partner channel UK, John McKindland, said, “The future is bright and we’re all looking forward to putting Sona firmly on the UK map through Comms Council UK and in many other ways.”

Tracey Wright, chair at Comms Council UK, said, "We are thrilled to welcome Sona Business, a serious player in the UK's UC market, to our membership. This is especially timely as we celebrate our 20th year, during which we're deepening our focus on critical industry topics like fraud prevention while expanding our Women in Telecoms initiative."
