Sona Business has announced that a new NEC IP phone auto provisioning service from Yeastar is now available on the Sona UC cloud platform.
NEC announced earlier in 2024 that it will be pulling out of the on-premise unified communications market outside of Japan over the next few years.
Sona’s white-label UC cloud platform, powered by Yeastar, provides an auto provisioning feature to support NEC IP and SIP phones.
Sona’s head of partner channel UK, John McKindland, said, “Sona is delighted to offer NEC resellers the opportunity to migrate their customers to the cloud and retain their NEC IP and SIP handset estate, protecting a sizeable investment and maintaining a defined feature set.
“We estimate there are literally tens of thousands of devices in the market which can now be easily configured in bulk with just a few clicks, for fast and convenient deployment.”
He added: “This is a massive chance for resellers which we expect will create lots of demand. It opens up a tremendous opportunity for businesses migrating to a new platform, who want to retain their existing NEC IP and SIP phones as part of a smooth and seamless transition.”
Sona co-founder, Sonia Harjani, said, “As a fast-growing business we aim to put our partners firmly in the driving seat to develop their own propositions in a very bespoke white-label way. Sona is a wholesale internet, cloud and hosted unified comms provider, offering reliable and affordable solutions, that empower our partners to achieve more.
“We are a complete one-stop UC and connectivity shop with a global reach. Our new NEC auto provisioning service is one of many ways to differentiate and help us drive more value in a crowded market. Many phone models are covered including the NEC DT900 and DT800 series.”
