Spitfire Network Services has extended its supplier partnership with Cellhire.
The new agreement will enhance Spitfire’s MVNO offering with seamless failover to backup connectivity on the Cellhire MVNO network.
Spitfire’s One Network interconnects its network with BT Group’s EE 4G and 5G Radio Access Network as a full MVNO. With ‘Enhanced Mobile’, Spitfire’s One Network offers strong connectivity, security, and flexible and innovative billing plans, to SME, enterprise and IoT customers across the UK. In addition, Spitfire’s One Network combines mobile, fixed line and cloud connectivity with multiple carriers in a ‘single supplier, single contract’ secure private network.
Spitfire is now able to complement One Network with Layer 2 interconnection with the Cellhire MVNO network, which provides offshore UK roaming access to all four MNOs.
Cellhire’s IoT connectivity enables IoT devices to securely transmit data in more than 191 countries, which is made possible through its own IoT network, formed of more than 430 relationships with operators worldwide.
Harry Bowlby, managing director, Spitfire Network Services, said, “As a trusted supplier of ours for many years, we are happy to announce an extension to our partnership with Cellhire. We want to make sure that no matter where our MVNO clients are we can provide the most robust data connectivity solutions. Our partnership with Cellhire provides an added layer of reliability and resilience, which is what our customers require. IoT is a key growth area for Spitfire moving forwards, and Cellhire’s experience in this sector aligns perfectly with our ambitions.”
Tony Guerion, Cellhire’s chief executive officer, said, “We are delighted that Spitfire has chosen Cellhire’s core IoT network to add additional resilience to its connectivity offering. With Spitfire’s huge ambitions for growth in the IoT space, we look forward to a successful partnership that leverages our global reach and multi-network capabilities to deliver seamless and reliable IoT connectivity solutions."
