Headline sponsor, Samsung, took the opportunity to give attendees a preview and demonstration of the new Galaxy Mega, the Galaxy S4 Rugged and the Galaxy S4 Zoom. Catharine Ecob, National Account Manager, Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics, delivered the keynote, while speakers from CCS Insight and Future Agenda gave insightful perspectives on current market dynamics and futures.
Partner feedback from the event illustrated its value. One delegate said: “I was really impressed by the format and content”, while another described it as “very informative and a beehive for networking on mobile sales development”. A third stated: “The whole day felt relaxed and enjoyable. The one-to-one meetings went well and it was good to meet customers who shared the same view.” Another said: “The speakers at this event were mind-blowing and inspirational. As well as the main presentations, customers are given the opportunity to hold scheduled face-to-face meetings with vendors and to network with Tech Data Mobile staff, suppliers and their peers, throughout the day and over drinks and dinner in the evening, which on this occasion was held at the famous West End cocktail bar and cabaret restaurant, Circus.
With around 100 partners turning up on the day, this latest in the Tech Data Mobile Aspire series was a great success, says Michelle Henchoz, Director of Marketing for the UK and Ireland. “We were pleased with the turnout for Aspire 8 and the positive vibe that was generated. All the presentations were really interesting and informative and there was plenty of time for everyone to mingle and mix with our supplier partners as well. It was time well-spent for all concerned.”
