Formed in 1998, Wirebird helps a wide range of companies of all sizes get the best out of their IT. The services it provides range from fully-managed hosting through to complex infrastructure projects and IT transformation programmes. The company works on projects in both traditional on-premise and hosted (cloud) environments.

Wirebird employs over 50 staff based from its central London base, Reading sales, marketing and finance office and support set-up in Auckland, New Zealand, providing 24/7 support for its customers which include The British Lung Foundation, John Laing and Hobbs.
Wirebird's CEO, Malcolm Gardiner, will continue to run the company under the Wirebird brand, as an independent subsidiary of the Timico Technology Group. Commenting on the acquisition, he said: “We are delighted to become part of the group and add our experience and expertise in IT management to the Timico portfolio. This as a very positive step in the growth and development of Wirebird and we are also excited about giving our clients access to a wider range of services in the future.”
This is the eighth acquisition for Timico in its 11 year history, adding complementary services to its existing portfolio of managed network, Unified Communication, cloud & hosting and enterprise mobility solutions.
