Synergy will deliver carrier-class cloud PBX services, complete with all the features organisations expect from a traditional phone system, coupled with unified communications offerings such as instant messaging, mobile apps, video, conferencing and full Fixed Mobile Convergence functionality.
The FMC element of the solution will allow Synergy to be rolled out to mobile users too, providing an extension of the business phone system directly to their device. It will ensure that even when out of the office, users can still make and receive calls using the same office telephone number, access their office voicemail, transfer calls and view the availability of colleagues in their business directory using presence.
Businesses extending Synergy to their mobile users will also see substantial savings on the costs normally associated with staff diverting office calls to their mobiles and making calls at standard mobile rates whilst out and about in the UK and roaming abroad.
All calls made between members of staff using the Synergy app are free of charge and the same call rates apply for both office users and mobile users making external calls, making it easier for businesses to manage their overall call costs.
Timico has teamed up with Samsung – which is leading the way in becoming the preferred B2B supplier of tablets and smartphones – as the preferred supplier of Android devices for the Synergy solution.
Andrew North, Director of Mobile Services at Timico, said: “Mobile working has been part of day-to-day life for some time, but it is mostly viewed as a short-term fix until you’re back at your desk in the office. What Synergy will allow is a complete suite of services available in your pocket – making mobile working a genuine reality, not a quick fix. By teaming up with industry experts Samsung and Genband, this FMC offering is a best of breed solution that will really set us apart from the rest of the market.”
