Torrans, a senior industry figure, joins TP-LINK from ETI Software Solutions where he was VP sales for Europe. At TP-LINK he will work closely with ISPs and service providers as part of a coordinated campaign to develop TP-LINK’s ISP market. The UK’s internet industry is worth around £100bn.
Torrans has over 20 years’ experience in telecommunications and ISP markets. An early career in the Ministry of Defence provided him with a grounding in RF technology, which he built on with roles at Marconi Communications, Technicolor and ZyXEL communications.
He says, “TP-LINK has created an incredibly successful consumer brand over the past five years in the UK and Europe. The next stage is to mirror that success in the Service Provider sector of the UK and Irish markets. The product set and generous warranty period is a perfect fit for ISPs offering customers high speed, reliable routers, range extenders and powerlines for a total solution.”
