Sweet Serenity
Lindsey Crosby, Managing Director of Sweet Serenity, was particularly delighted to make the celebratory cake for a cabling company, “I was thrilled to create this special cake to celebrate Deemrose’s 30th Anniversary as my father was in the Royal Signals for 20 years.”
A family based business, Sweet Serenity produces novelty cakes for any occasion. They pride themselves on doing something a little out of the ordinary by creating stunningly individual, bespoke cakes. Lindsey learnt the art of cake making as a child at her mother’s side, “As my father was in the army it was difficult for my mother to have her own career because of moving frequently so she would bake cakes for people wherever we lived; I used to love helping her.”
Lindsey Crosby and her team enjoy designing and making all sorts of cakes. They even offer a service where you can design and make and decorate your own wedding cake if you so choose. Sweet Serenity offer courses in cake making and sugar craft too.
They would like to further develop their corporate cakes because they can be more of a creative challenge, “We like to design something special for our corporate clients so that the cake decoration symbolises a company’s trade or industry and successes.”
The cake for Deemrose is an artistic tribute to their cabling business - finished off with an ornate sugar craft icing display of data cables in celebration of Deemrose’s 30th Anniversary.” Lindsey added, “I have found that corporate cakes are a great way to celebrate a company anniversary or an event but they are also a very effective way to thank your staff - it is an economic way of giving your staff that feel good factor which comes from being appreciated. Nearly all of us love cake – particularly a beautiful one.”
