Union Street invests in new R&D centre for aBILLity software development

Union Street Technologies, supplier of comms billing solutions, has created a dedicated Research and Development centre, near to its headquarters in Richmond, Surrey. The eight strong R&D team is headed by recently appointed Development Director, Alper Kazaca. The new team will focus purely on product development in order to continue to drive the aBILLity product forward. The existing second line support developers will remain in Union Street’s HQ along with the other customer facing teams.

A massive 35 per cent of Union Street revenues are ploughed back into R&D to ensure that the product portfolio is always at the leading edge of technological innovation. As a result the multi-award winning aBILLity billing and back-office services suite of applications for comms providers is now the de-facto standard comms-billing platform in the UK.

The aBILLity application suite can meet every requirement in the billing and provisioning process, including WLR3 providing a comprehensive solution for back office functions. For customer contact management, the Union Street aBILLity billing platform has an integration module available with Microsoft Dynamics CRM providing a bi-directional data exchange and synchronisation between applications.

The Union Street R&D team has planned the evolution of the aBILLity billing application suite to meet significant trends in the comms market. With the rapid growth in SIP based UC solutions the latest version of aBILLity 2 specifically offers new functionality to support this, as well as a whole host of mobile contract management features.

Commenting on the new R&D centre, Alper Kazaca stated, “At Union Street we are totally committed to ensuring that our customers always have access to the latest technical innovations to meet changed market conditions. The comms industry is extremely fast-moving and dynamic so Union Street has a policy of continual product improvement to ensure that we stay ahead of the curve. With the new dedicated R&D centre we are making a significant upstream investment in new CP solutions."
