Serial channel entrepreneurs Neil Ledger and Ian Morris, who jointly set up Vadition in 2006, share a long track-record of establishing and growing successful distribution businesses. For the last financial year, the company reported a turnover of £23.4m.
“Our team has put in such as lot of hard work over the last three or four years, as we’ve pursued a uniquely radical and foresighted approach to the traditional IT distribution model that competitors are now beginning to follow,” commented Ledger. “We are very pleased to add such a prestigious award to the trophy cabinet, and look forward to celebrating this success with all of our staff, our vendors, and our partner community. This is a fantastic achievement, especially as it is national recognition from outside our immediate community, and serves as testament to the extraordinary effort of all involved.”
According to co-founder of the specialist distributor, Ian Morris, it is Vadition’s unique blend of market vision and technical acumen that has laid the foundations for these awards.
“Too many people use the term ‘value add’ too easily and too loosely. To us, value is an asset we have and others don’t – despite how much they want it,” commented Morris. “We built that asset as the only ones with the vision to anticipate consumer-based technology and behaviours being progressively taken into the business environment; and we combined that vision with the pragmatism to select the technologies that would provide the foundations for organisations to enable, control and secure this phenomenon. The result is treble digit growth in one of the most uncertain economic periods in history. This is highly pleasing for us and to the customers who’ve come on the journey with us, and we offer a big thanks to them.”
