As part of the alliance, Vapour Cloud will support Egton in delivering next-generation voice services into its client base, utilising cloud-based technology.
Egton, part of EMIS Group, specialises in the supply of ICT infrastructure, application software and value-added services.
With offices and teams across the North of England, Vapour works with organisations across the UK, providing business solutions encompassing internet access, a cloud voice platform and UK based storage, back-up and replication – all private and fully functional in the UK.
As part of the Government’s digital transformation commitment, better use of data and technology has been highlighted as a key enabler for transforming the quality and reducing the cost of health and care services. Via its partnership with Vapour, Egton will gain access to the cloud-based next generation Storm communication platform to help drive digital evolution in the healthcare market.
Tim Mercer (pictured), Chief Executive Officer of Vapour Cloud, said, “The use of cloud amongst healthcare organisations is growing rapidly year-on-year. Like many other industries, healthcare is moving toward cloud-based technologies to help drive efficiencies and streamline processes for employees, ultimately delivering enhanced services to patients.
“We are delighted to be working with Egton to support the delivery of next generation communication across their client base.
Stephen Wilcock, Managing Director of Egton, commented, “The uptake of new technology in the NHS is key to providing the cost and efficiency savings set out in the NHS forward view. Cloud telephony is a prime example of how such technology can have a measurable impact on the way healthcare organisations deliver their essential operations.”
“Vapour Cloud offer expertise and innovation in this field making them the ideal partners for us on this project.
“Delivering a fit for purpose and feature rich hosted voice solution for our customers was a key priority for our business in 2016. For this to happen we needed to find a partner who truly understood the technical relationship between voice and data. Vapour proved to be ideal from both a technical and professional perspective.”
