We already have 14 points of presence across London that allows us to connect businesses directly to our network. This latest expansion increases this to 18 points of presence and the potential for thousands more businesses to connect to the Venus Dark Fibre network. “Two new data centres have been connected to the expanded network each being carrier neutral supporting our high network speeds. We now have ten data centres on network and our new expansion also brings opportunities for businesses to protect their data with 10 gigabits per second secure symmetrical dedicated lines between data centres, facilitating industrial mirroring. With many government bodies in Westminster we believe the demand for this service will be high,” anticipates Brian.
The new expanded network not only brings Venus Dark Fibre to more businesses across London it also brings the potential for future higher speeds of up to 40 gigabits per second. Many of Venus’ clients are multimedia and finance companies that require high bandwidth to transfer, store and process large quantities of data. While Venus speeds of 10 gigabits per second are very high they are striving to ensure that their network continues to be the fastest in the country.
