The two companies signed a contract this week with the aim of doubling Proofpoint’s UK channel sales in the first year. The specialist security distributor plans to achieve this by leveraging the strong demand for automated security solutions that help enterprises and government organisations to meet compliance and regulatory guidelines.
Vigil selected the Proofpoint product range because it complemented their existing range of compliance-led solutions and provided them with a complete line up of products across all delivery platforms for customers ranging from SMEs up to large corporate and government organisations, for email content filtering, archival and DLP solutions.
Alex Teh, commercial director of Vigil explained, “Our success and strong growth, even in the current depressed economic climate, is due to our ability to work closely with our channel partners to propose security solutions that deliver for the end user. This is based on a solid experience and knowledge of compliance directives like GCSx, PCI DSS, ISO27001 and others.”
According to Kenneth Yearwood, UK channel manager of Proofpoint, “Vigil was chosen as our UK distributor because of the company’s strong reputation as a security expert and its ability to create market demand - thanks largely to its exceptional expertise and knowledge in the area of compliance.”
Jonathan Lassman, Managing Director of channel partner NTS added, “We are delighted that Proofpoint has appointed Vigil, as they are a highly knowledgeable and credible source of information and support that will undoubtedly assist in the growth of Proofpoint in the UK we already work with them with other products in key vertical sectors like education, finance and government.”
