Vodafone Business launches Microsoft Teams Phone Mobile

New offering provides integrated solution for managing external voice calls, video meetings and collaboration.

Vodafone Business has launched Microsoft Teams Phone Mobile.

Available for business customers and indirect channel partners, Microsoft Teams Phone Mobile provides companies with an integrated solution for managing external voice calls, video meetings and collaboration. Employees can make and receive both internal and external calls using a single number, either through their mobile phone or via Microsoft Teams, without the need to switch between applications. All of this is enabled by Vodafone’s secure mobile network.

Its key benefits include:

•    Secure and compliant: Ensures added security and compliance with enterprise-grade protection, policy controls and integration with compliance solutions.

•    Cost effective: Replaces legacy PSTN-based costs and complexity with an all-in-one mobile experience and a single number that works across devices. Ideal for businesses looking to safeguard their operations ahead of the PSTN switch-off in early 2027.

•    Enhanced productivity: Enhances productivity by providing seamless communication and collaboration across devices, allowing employees to stay connected, respond quickly and work efficiently from anywhere.

•    Single number: Simplifies business communication by allowing employees to use one SIM-enabled number across mobile devices and any active Teams endpoints, ensuring seamless connectivity and a professional presence anywhere.

Katy Liddell, head of business solutions and customer operations, Vodafone Business UK, said, “As businesses continue to embrace hybrid working, the need for unified communication tools has never been greater. We are delighted to add Microsoft Teams Phone Mobile to our existing portfolio of Microsoft Teams solutions which already includes operator connect and direct routing.

“This addition further highlights our commitment to help empower organisations to keep their employees connected, collaborative, and productive – no matter where they are based.”

Mark Nixon, director, modern work, Microsoft UK, said, “Our collaboration with Vodafone Business expands the capabilities of Microsoft Teams to create a unified communication experience for businesses globally. Together, we’re making it easier for companies to adapt to the demands of modern work.”

In 2024, Vodafone and Microsoft announced a 10-year strategic partnership, using their respective strengths in offering scaled digital platforms to more than 300 million businesses, public sector organisations and consumers across Europe and Africa.
