The second is a 2-day Administration course, which covers how to use Becrypt Enterprise Manager, a security management suite covering the range of Becrypt products.
The courses will be available at Wick Hill Service Division’s training centre at Woking, Surrey, or they can be delivered on customer premises.
Wick Hill certified to implement tVolution
At the same time, Wick Hill has been certified by Becrypt to implement tVolution, which allows managed devices to access the PSN securely.
tVolution is a very significant and timely solution, as PSN regulations tighten and government departments are prohibited from using inadequately secured machines for remote access. tVolution is particularly suited to resolve security issues in this situation, both cost effectively and with minimum disruption.
tVolution is a secure customisable Linux based operating system that gives organisations a way to securely provide and manage access into a VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) environment without committing to new hardware. It allows both existing desktop machines and thin client devices to access a VDI estate without the need to maintain and support the existing costly desktop software.
Ian Kilpatrick, chairman Wick Hill Group, commented: “tVolution offers a convenient and cost-effective way for government departments to achieve PSN compliance regarding secure remote access, while still being able to gain all the benefits that BYOD and mobile technology can bring.
“We are now accredited to work with and for our channel partners to deliver this solution to users needing access to the PSN. The new regulations are coming into place and will affect government, public and private sector customers who need to access the network.”
