Xelion offers a standardised user interface app for desktop, mobile and tablet so users can use the solution anywhere, anytime. The platform brings together voice, instant messaging, sms, and much more, delivering a single Organised Communications service for customers on any device. Open RESTful APIs allow third-party apps such as Office 365 and Teams to be easily integrated seamlessly with the service.
Microsoft Teams combines persistent workplace chat, video meetings, file storage, and application integration. The service integrates with the Microsoft's Office 365 office productivity suite and features extensions that can integrate with non-Microsoft products, such as Xelion.
The integration of Xelion with Teams brings significant benefits for business customers. For example, Teams offers limited reporting and recording functionality, a critical application for any customer facing organisation. Xelion has full-call reporting as standard and supports contact centre operation including wallboards, formulas and KPI information, at no additional cost to the standard user license.
Not every Teams user needs to have Xelion integration for the whole organisation to benefit, as users without Xelion access can transfer calls to those users that do.
Commenting on Teams integration, Dave Reynolds, Xelion UK Managing Director, stated, "Customers see a huge benefit to using Teams within their organisations but have been quick to understand that it is no PBX replacement on its own. Integrating Teams into Xelion makes a lot of sense and gives customers the best of both worlds. A major focus for the Xelion development team is the continued integration into Office 365 and other Microsoft applications such as Teams. The integration of Xelion with Teams delivers a total unified communications solution and we anticipate high demand from the market."
