Xelion partner day draws record attendance

Communications vendor Xelion held its partner day at the Imperial War Museum (IWM) in Duxford, Cambridgeshire – home to almost 200 military aircraft.

The event attracted a record attendance for a Xelion partner day, with partners from across the UK and Xelion's Dutch offices, including group CEO Thijs van den Ende.

The Xelion team shared some important announcements, including an increased investment in research and development, and an expansion of the development team, including dedicated UX/UI and macOS developers.

Xelion also gave a sneak preview of the development roadmap for the upcoming version 8.5, which includes enhancements to make provisioning faster for partners, as well as further enhancements to contact centre functionality, and the launch of a training academy to bolster and formalise technical training for partners.

Attendees were given expert talks and tours by museum staff, as well a treasure hunt, where guests worked in teams to identify aircraft, with the winners receiving £7,000 worth of Xelion licences.

Xelion UK MD, Dave Reynolds, said: "It was great to connect with partners and give them a different experience to the events they're used to. The museum in Duxford is close to my heart, so it was a pleasure to share that with partners.

"I'd like to thank all attendees for helping make the event such a success, including partners and our colleagues from the Netherlands who made the trip. Thanks also to the Imperial War Museum for being such great hosts."

Van den Ende, said, "I had a great time seeing colleagues and meeting so many UK partners. The UK Channel is hugely important to us and it was wonderful to see so many people take the time to attend.

"One of my highlights was the choice of venue. It was a fascinating place and a real change from the usual event space. I'd like to congratulate our UK colleagues for choosing such a great setting to celebrate another year of growth."
