YRoam uses Cloud SIM technology to locate local networks that offer the most affordable rates - giving users a portable Wi-Fi connection at a fraction of the cost that would otherwise be spent on data roaming.
YRoam is not locked down to a specific network - the user can therefore benefit from the optimum connection available without paying premium rates.
YRoam works in more than 100 countries worldwide and can connect up to five devices simultaneously with a range of up to 50 metres. The YR4 also doubles as a power bank so the user can stay online and connected throughout their trip.
YRoam’s managing partner, Matt Agrimi, commented, “We are committed to providing low cost 4G and 3G data services across the globe using cloud technology to keep people connected. We will be working with businesses to supply YR4 devices to all their staff as well as helping the individual traveller get online safely and securely whilst they’re abroad. We have done a lot of research into our competitors to ensure we are offering the best possible and most affordable service.”
Agrimi continued: “YRoam will benefit a vast number of people with different roaming needs - from business travellers who need to stay online to keep updated on emails to the family traveller that wants to keep their children amused on long journeys.”
The YRoam YR4 device costs £199 and comes with 1GB of data (worth £34.99).
