Chess Wins Sunday Times Best Place to Work Award.

Chess ST Award

Telecoms provider Chess has made all the right moves to be crowned The Sunday Times Best Company to Work For 2018.

The Cheshire-based business gives its 505 staff ‘happiness training’ to inspire creative thinking.

At The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For awards last week, Chess boss David Pollock received the Best Leader award. A total of 799 companies entered the 18th annual awards, and the replies to 261,559 surveys were ranked.

As well as businesses with 250-3,000 staff in the Best Companies list, there were awards for 100 Best Small Companies (50-250 staff) and 100 Best Not-For-Profit Organisations.

EE chief executive Marc Allera collected the trophy for topping the 25 Best Big Companies list.
