Westcon Group has announced that it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Cistera Networks, a leading provider of advanced IP phone platforms and application engines in the Cisco IP Telephony environment. Under the terms of the agreement, Westcon Group’s Comstor division will distribute, resell, support and maintain all Cistera products for the European Market.
Westcon’s Technology Solutions Group, which was created last year to integrate Westcon Group’s strengths in technology solutions (convergence, security and mobility) with specific business and vertical market applications, identified the value of the Cistera family of products to its overall portfolio.
By providing the Cistera ConvergenceServer (CCS) and its suite of applications for Cisco’s CallManager and CallManagerExpress, Comstor will help solution providers design deployments that are easy to integrate and install, while delivering the applications that customers need to enhance their productivity and extend the capabilities of the IP Communications network. Cistera’s applications platform adds critical functionality and features such as broadcasting, messaging, recording and content streaming within a Cisco Communications environment. Cistera ConvergenceServersT can be configured to support small, medium and enterprise installations, and by linking multiple applications to CallManager and CallManagerExpress, they provide seamless integration of an IPT solution.
