With experience spanning more than three decades, Freebairn brings a wealth of knowledge to this new role at Comtek. Most recently, he was the managing director at Nortel Networks, a position he had held for close to five years. In this role he led a 500 person supply chain team through the process of divesting the business to a number of telecom equipment manufacturers. Prior to this, he held a variety of positions within Nortel, including leading engineering, quality and manufacturing operations at Nortel’s Operations Centre in Belfast through the 1990s and during the last decade running Nortel EMEA's Business Operations and Supply Chain Operations including logistics, repair and customer service.

As part of his new role, Freebairn will manage the investment into the creation of Comtek’s state of the art Nortel telecoms repairs business in Northern Ireland and will work closely with Comtek’s senior management personnel in the UK, the Netherlands and Germany as the company looks to expand.
