Emerson Network Power Introduces Rack Power Distribution Units

Emerson Network Power has introduced Liebert MPX and Liebert MPH, two new families for power distribution and monitoring inside rack servers, designed to support IT managers dealing with the frequent changes and complexities of connected loads throughout their IT and network infrastructures. As of November 2009, the products will be available in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Data centre managers are undoubtedly increasingly busy dealing with the expansion of computing capacities in their environments, as well as the development of consolidation and virtualization projects. Consequently, it has become essential for them to be able to quickly and flexibly reconfigure power supply distribution to loads inside the racks, without any impact on the availability of IT systems. Liebert MPX and Liebert MPH deliver all the flexibility required to guarantee quick and efficient power distribution, supporting the evolution of IT infrastructures.

In brief, Liebert MPX, with its adaptive technology and hot-swap, easy-to-install and reconfigure, enables very quick modification of power input and distribution for the installed loads.

“Our PDU products meet the current needs of IT environments. Liebert MPX, for instance, optimizes data center management skills, offering a modular technology for power supply and control, combined with the management infrastructure required to maximize the availability of IT equipment while minimizing operating costs,” said Michael Wassermann, director of the Liebert solutions business in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Emerson Network Power.
