Having announced a new voice division last week equIP Technology, the specialist IP security distributor, has bolstered its offering in the IP Telephony space today with news that it has signed a distribution agreement with Zultys Technologies and VegaStream.
Managing Director Grahame Smee told Comms Business Magazine that the company had taken time over evaluating its direction prior to recently leaving the Matrix Group and had identified voice as the area in which equIP could make a significant impact in the future.
“We have become a specialist market maker in the past and added value to products new to the market. This is undoubtedly the year of IP Telephony and having recognised the growth potential of VoIP we are pleased to announce these new partnerships with both Zultys Technologies and VegaStream, whose unique and innovative VoIP products will maximise the opportunity for our existing and potential channel partners.”
“At equIP, we have always been an IP-centric company and as we move forward into the IP Voice space with these new signings, we are now able to offer all our UK Systems Integrators and VARS a truly enhanced IP solution. The VoIP products Zultys and VegaStream offer will prove a welcome and complimentary addition to our portfolio for those existing resellers we currently partner in traditional IP data areas and will also present a great opportunity for us to attract new channel relationships,” added Smee.
Zultys Technology demonstrated its MX250 to Comms Business Magazine recently and we were impressed with the quality of speech and the productivity enhancing applications. Smee says that Zultys’s extensive portfolio includes a range of IP PBX systems, IP telephones, and supporting peripherals that will make it simple for equIP’s channel partners to deploy VoIP systems for their customers both quickly and cost-effectively.
“We are delighted to have equIP as our new channel partner, with channel relationships second to none, we are certain of equIP’s ability to successfully market and position our range of products to its large base of resellers and Systems Integrators,” commented Justine Cross, Director of Business Development for EMEA at Zultys.
VegaStream is a leading supplier of dedicated Voice over IP gateways to the service provider and enterprise marketplace and with easy to use, easy to administer and easy to provision products brings obvious advantages for channel partners and will prove to be a valuable asset to equIP’s voice offering.
Andy Barrow, EMEA Channel Manager of VegaStream said “Equip provides real value add to both customer and vendor, in terms of their knowledge of the technologies and the support capabilities they offer. EquIP continues to be the undisputed leader in bringing security solutions to market in the UK ahead of anyone else, and we are pleased to partner with the company as they move into the Voice arena to address the growing need for VoIP products amongst UK businesses.”
