ITogether, the Yorkshire-based network and security specialist, has been awarded Gold UK Partner status by Palo Alto Networks, the network security company.
The deal, which is part of the company’s long term growth strategy, will make ITogether the first provider of Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewall products and services in the North of England.
Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls enable unprecedented visibility and granular policy control of applications and content – by user, not just IP address – at up to 20Gbps with no performance degradation. Based on patent-pending App-ID™ technology, Palo Alto Networks firewalls accurately identify and control applications – regardless of port, protocol, evasive tactic or SSL encryption – and scan content to stop threats and prevent data leakage. Enterprises can for the first time embrace Web 2.0 and maintain complete visibility and control, while significantly reducing total cost of ownership through device consolidation.
Most recently, Palo Alto Networks has enabled enterprises to extend this same network security to remote users with the release of GlobalProtect and to combat targeted malware with its WildFire service.
The product portfolio from Palo Alto Networks will enable ITogether to help businesses to secure the use of new applications that are integral to business operations, whilst managing the inherent risks presented by social media and a growing Bring Your Own Device culture, both on and off the corporate network.
ITogether, who have been an accredited Palo Alto Networks partner since 2010, have been granted Gold Partner status as a result of their continued commitment and investment in staff, tools and training to help drive growth, differentiation and profitability.
Simon Richardson, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, ITogether, commented: “It’s a great achievement to be awarded Partner status by Palo Alto Networks. Partnering with this global leader in security has given us the opportunity to deliver superior business benefits for our customers, significantly reducing total cost of ownership through device consolidation. As a Gold Partner we will be the first company to sell Palo Alto visionary security applications North of London.”
