Telstra Europe is expanding its senior management team with two strategic hires to build on strong growth in 2007 and manage demand for 2008.
Nik Haidar joins as Director of Product Development, and Tony Martin joins as Marketing Director.
Haidar will head up Telstra Europe’s product management team and will be responsible for enhancing the services portfolio, developing new products and devising go-to-market strategies. Martin will provide close support in managing all internal communications and external European marcoms activities, including joint programmes with channel and technology partners.
Haidar has more than 10 years’ experience in product development and marketing in the telecoms industry. His previous experience includes director-level product roles on UK and international remits for QAS, Tiscali and NTL. Martin is a seasoned marketing professional and has a wealth of expertise gained from two decades working in the communications industry, including EMEA marketing director roles over the last 10 years for sector leaders such as Envox Worldwide, Interactive Intelligence and Nuance Communications.
In addition to the external appointments, Peter Hase has been appointed internally to Vice-President of Business Development from his previous role as Chief Marketing Officer. Hase’s new remit will be focused on planning and driving the execution of Telstra’s aggressive growth strategy.
