Tim Cook, Apple's CEO said nine million was a new record for first weekend sales of an iPhone. "While we've sold out of our initial supply of iPhone 5s, stores continue to receive new iPhone shipments regularly. We appreciate everyone's patience and are working hard to build enough new iPhones for everyone."
The major new feature of the iPhone 5S is the added security feature of a fingerprint scanner to unlock the device. Has Apple finally solved an age old problem and have got the scanners to work reliably and accurately on the devices?? Sort of, although the function works well it would seem hackers have already found a way around the security mechanism which renders it a bit useless. Users can probably expect an update from Apple soon to rectify this issue.
