Cintas Choose Azzurri for WAN

Cintas Document Management UK Ltd has awarded Azzurri Communications a five year contract worth £1.1m for a new wide area network (WAN) and managed security services, covering Cintas’s 10 UK sites

Azzurri’s ICON (Intelligent Cloud Optimised Network) will form the network backbone, augmented by a secure online management portal for use by Cintas’s IT team. Azzurri’s NMAP (Network Monitoring and Application Performance) will provide Cintas staff with a personalised, real-time view of network status, health, performance and reporting.

Cintas Document Management UK, part of US headquartered Cintas Corporation, a $4.1billion NASDAQ company, specialise in providing integrated document management solutions, including storage and archiving, shredding, scanning and digitisation. As a result, security, compliance and business continuity are critical business drivers, prompting their search for a highly resilient and flexible network. After a competitive tender process, Cintas chose Azzurri’s innovative ICON platform, which deploys multiple network carriers into one overall design, offering Cintas optimal costs and resilience.

ICON is designed to deliver a predictable end-user experience when either communicating across, or accessing applications and data over the network. While Azzurri’s NMAP will give Cintas an effective way of measuring and managing SLAs, to ensure optimal performance of their critical business applications.

As part of the contract, Azzurri will also provide a number of managed security services, including a managed firewall and managed web content services. Network security penetration testing, underpinning Cintas’s ISO27001 accreditation, is also part of the service wrap provided by Azzurri.

Vim Vithaldas, CEO, Azzurri Communications, said: “Our ICON platform is a key differentiator for Azzurri and is continuing to attract new customers. And what’s really exciting is the new cloud-based services we’re bringing to market that plug into ICON, such as NMAP, which allows both Azzurri and our customers to monitor SLAs according to business outcomes, not just technical aspects.”
