Zen Slash Fibre Installation Cost

Zen Internet has announced it has reduced the installation cost on its Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) Fibre Optic Broadband services, saving customers more than 50%.

The installation cost for Zen’s FTTC Fibre Optic Broadband services will now be reduced from the usual price of £92 ex VAT to £40 ex VAT, making it even easier for new and existing customers to access these award-winning services.

Richard Tang, Managing Director, Zen said: “Fibre is only going to grow in scale and importance over the coming years, so to make it even easier for customers to access Zen’s award-winning Fibre Optic Broadband services we are reducing the installation cost to less than half price.”

To enable Zen to offer a broad range of highly competitive priced products to customers it continues to invest in major developments of its next generation network. An initial investment of over £3.5m has been made in its core infrastructure to build a network of local exchange Points of Presence (PoPs). Zen’s 200 PoPs plus another 270 exchange locations will enable it to provide services to at least 6 million UK premises. Zen will use Openreach local loop access to deliver services directly from Zen owned and managed equipment located in local exchanges.

“Expanding our own network reflects our long term plan to deliver competitively priced services directly to our customers in what is a highly price-sensitive market. We believe that we have the strongest portfolio of Fibre Optic Broadband products in the UK, having worked with BT since the initial Fibre Optic Broadband trials,” added Richard.
