Transforming the channel with AI

Oliver Harvey-Jones, public cloud director for Arrow's enterprise computing solutions business in the UK and Ireland, discusses how channel partners can use AI to manage and optimise their cloud environments.

AI. It’s a powerful phrase. A game-changing technology that is already driving transformation across multiple areas within the channel. It’s a tool being used to enhance efficiency and decision-making, and helping to give deep insights to better understand markets, businesses, partners, and customers.

Automation is already integrated into many technology solutions and platforms. For example, Arrow has incorporated AI-powered capabilities into its cloud delivery and management platform, ArrowSphere Cloud – which allows channel partners to blend multi-vendor products with Microsoft solutions.

Many platforms are using AI-driven tools such as chatbots and virtual assistants to create hyper-personalised interactions, enhancing the buying experience and resolving issues faster.

We also see AI being utilised in hundreds of leading technology solutions leveraging it to deliver smarter, faster, and more tailored outcomes for channel partners and end-customers.

Navigating the complexities of AI

The IT channel is one of the fastest routes to bring new technologies to market. It plays a key role in the development of new AI products and solutions, provides additional go-to-market routes, enables and simplifies the sales and management of AI solutions, and can easily get those solutions into the hands of users and train them at scale.

While it holds untold potential, AI adoption is in its early stages for most channel partners, and it is crucial that Its application is part of a business automation journey that adds real value.

The implementation of AI presents several challenges. Its integration requires significant resources and specialist skillsets, and a lack of any one of these factors will not create the right environment to deliver on AI’s promises.

ArrowSphere Assistant: empowering channel partners

Operational efficiency is a key area being improved through AI-driven analytics and automation tools to enhance and optimise business processes and reduce manual workloads.

AI is fundamental to how channel partners and end-customers manage and optimise their cloud environments on ArrowSphere Cloud. Last year we launched ArrowSphere Assistant, an AI-powered cloud business companion to exponentially drive deeper efficiencies.

Built on Microsoft Azure AI, ArrowSphere Assistant uses advanced AI capabilities to provide actionable insights and recommendations. This powerful tool enables partners to seamlessly manage Microsoft and multi-vendor cloud solutions, ensuring they can deliver tailored, efficient, and high-performing services to their end-customers.

For example, ArrowSphere Assistant can analyse a channel partner's cloud business and provide insights on customer performance, billing statements, security scores, and even carbon emissions. This level of detailed analysis helps channel partners optimise their operations, improve customer satisfaction, and uncover new business opportunities to drive growth.

AI is undeniably transforming the channel, offering unprecedented opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and growth. As AI continues to evolve and through Arrow’s relationship with Microsoft, we’re helping channel partners navigate the complexities of modern technology and achieve their strategic goals.
